Jolt Consulting Group is looking for a dynamic, new team member (located in the Capital District – Albany, NY area) to manage our clients’ Microsoft Azure databases. As the position is mostly remote, some travel is required to the Jolt offices in Saratoga Springs, NY and for on-site meetings at client locations throughout the country.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Microsoft Azure Developer will provide technical leadership and application support for Microsoft applications deployed within the Azure environment as a managed service.  The individual will serve as the primary technical point of contact for configuration and support of the supported systems and be responsible for working with client personnel and Jolt Consulting Group resources to successfully support clients.  In this role, you will develop a technical understanding of the architecture of the supported systems, including database performance, application server services, network communications, etc.  In addition, you will work closely with our partners and customers to analyze customer requirements for new development.  As a result, the individuals must be able to analyze end-user requirements and incorporate those needs into the client’s configuration.  The technical lead is expected to build a relationship with the customer and present ideas in user-friendly language. The successful candidate must have a passion for helping clients find creative ways to more effectively run their services businesses.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the technical support of a field-service software;
  • Diagnose performance related issues including database structure, services, processes, etc. of supported applications;
  • Provide technical input on development of new capabilities/requirements;
  • Work to continuously improve the applications managed within the Azure environment;
  • Lead development activities using Microsoft tools;
  • Work closely with the original software developer to troubleshoot and diagnose identified defects;
  • Be a compelling and trusted “voice of the customer” when evangelizing the architecture that will yield the biggest impact in current and future implementations;
  • Use structured development methodologies that seek to minimize overall project risk;
  • Operate effectively, clearly, and succinctly in an unstructured environment and demonstrate an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by the firm;
  • Assist with projects that include strategy development, requirements definition, business process improvement, stakeholder involvement, change management, quality assurance, risk management, user training, application configuration, system installation, and testing;
  • Must be able to “think on their feet” and demonstrate a strong ability and initiative to learn.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Three or more years of experience implementing or providing technical support within the Microsoft Azure environment;
  • Application configuration/development experience desired;
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and associated database tools/technologies (e.g. SSMS);
  • Experience with database and application performance tuning;
  • Strong understanding of applications, processes, services, etc.;
  • Expertise with web services;
  • A strong technical foundation with an ability to quickly learn new software applications;
  • Experience managing or leading software or implementation projects;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Technical understanding of software operating systems and ability to work comfortably with software engineers;
  • Bachelor’s Degree, plus 3-5 years of applicable work experience.

Jolt Consulting Group is currently seeking Salesforce consultants to join our team to support our implementation practice. The consultant will work with our clients to understand their business challenges and design and implement solutions based upon the Salesforce platform.

You will be part of the Jolt team that is 100% laser focused on providing expertise to service organizations and with 160+ engagements, we are the experts in the service ecosystem.

This individual will develop and maintain strong relationships with service companies and the successful candidate must have a passion for helping clients find creative ways to more effectively run their services businesses. This role provides an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our growing firm.

  • Service industry experience NOT required but a plus.  An ideal candidate will possess experience having worked with service organizations and understands service operations (e.g., case management, schedule/dispatch, technician mobility, inventory, etc.)
  • Participate in client requirements / discovery meetings to identify and document client requirements in order to develop creative solutions using best practices and Salesforce products.
  • Configure Salesforce products to meet client’s requirements.
  • Provide end user training and documentation during implementations.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and deliverables at once while keeping to deadlines is a must.
  • A team player committed to company success and works closely with internal team members to deliver Jolt products and services with prospects and customers.
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently in an unstructured environment.
